PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Families:

Welcome to Whittier School! We are happy to have you join our community of students and lifelong learners. Your child will spend some of the most influential years of his or her development in our school learning how to learn, as well as feeling the satisfaction that comes with being a learner. During these years, our school provides each student an opportunity to receive a well-balanced basic education focusing on skills of fundamental literacy, the foundations for productive citizenship and good interpersonal relationships, and the cultivation of thinking skills and attitudes that lead to successful lifelong learning.

Whitter School further recognizes its partnership with the family in directing and guiding a child’s education. All learning does not take place within the walls of the school. Indeed, the school stands second to the home as the place exercising the greatest influence on a child’s character both now and later as the child grows and matures into adulthood. We believe it is through the demonstration of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation between the home and school that our children will effectively learn and grow.

We hope our website provides a snapshot of our school, its policies and its programs. Please contact our school office if you need additional information.

Joanne Hall
